Fantasy Football Stocks: Entering Week 4

We are back at it again with fantasy football stocks for week 3. Players are getting a lot better and lot worse each week and it’s vital that fantasy football managers stay on top of who to acquire and who to trade away. This week is no different and this article will cover who is skyrocketing in value, who will skyrocket, and players who are going to fall off a cliff or lose even more value.

Players who are skyrocketing in value:

Khalil Skakir:

Shakir has caught all 14 of his targets in 2024 so far and has been the most targeted Bill through the first three weeks. He leads the 2nd place spot by three targets. He has 42+ yards and 3+ receptions in all three games so far and has only gotten better each week. The number one target for Josh Allen is a player that everyone should want on their fantasy team and Shakir looks to have incredible upside for an offense that has dominated thus far this season. This is a must trade for player at this point as his name value is still not very high around the league.

Drake London:

London has steadily played much better as the weeks have gone on with six receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown in the last game against the Chiefs. He has seven or more targets in each of the last two games and has developed into a reliable target for Kirk Cousins in this new-look Falcons offense. His target volume is high and his 6’4 frame has allowed him to box out corners to make throw easier for Cousins who is coming off an Achilles tear. His start to the year was not strong in week one and that has made his perception worse than it should be. This is the time to trade to get him.

Players who will skyrocket in value:

Travis Etienne:

Through the first three weeks ETN has been very disappointing. He has yet to score over 20 points or rush for over 70 yards in a game, and with sky-high expectations fantasy managers are going to be more than willing to try and salvage his value for something. He hasn’t played poorly, he’s actually been quite productive with 4.6 yards per carry and nine receptions across three games. The Jaguars have been a nightmare offensively however and getting blown out by 37 points in prime time doesn’t bode well for the run game. His value is the absolute lowest it’s ever going to be and his upside is still solid, though perhaps not as high as some had anticipated with his RB1 draft stock.

Terry McLaurin:

Jayden Daniels arrived in week three with 20/23 for 254 yards and two touchdowns in an absolute flawless performance against a struggling Bengals team. The importance of his breakout is that it allowed Terry McLaurin to explode for four receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown. McLaurin has 14 targets now across his last two games and with Daniels looking like the real deal, McLaurin should have a chance to put up WR2 and borderline WR1 value every single week. His rough start to the year (eight receptions for 39 yards through two games) should have depressed his value enough to where he is very gettable at this moment.

Players who will fall off a cliff:

Jauan Jennings:

He’s going to be on a lot of waiver wire lists this week and reasonably so as he had 11 receptions for 175 yards and three touchdowns. This could be a hot take and almost certainly is, I think he’s worth picking up and trading as soon as possible. This offense is not nearly as good without CMC and Jennings has no real track record of success.
