Wondering who to start for week 9? I've got you covered! Here is one player to start at every position for your week 9 fantasy football matchup.
Quarterback - Matthew Stafford (vs. Seahawks)
With Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp back in their game against the Vikings, Matthew Stafford finally returned to fantasy relevancy! In a thrilling win, Matthew Stafford posted almost 26 fantasy points en route to a top-5 fantasy finish on the week among quarterbacks. This week Stafford has a favorable matchup against the Seahawks who have allowed an average of 23 fantasy points per game in their last 5 games to opposing quarterbacks. The Seahawks have also allowed a passing touchdown in 5 consecutive games and 2+ passing touchdowns in 4 of those. Don't be surprised if he repeats as a top 5 fantasy quarterback terback again this week.
Runningback - Chase Brown (vs. Raiders)
Over the course of the season Chase Brown has solidified himself as the clear RB1 in Cincinnati. Unfortunately the game script has been difficult for Chase Brown as the Bengals have been trailing for a significant portion of their games this season. For some reason, Joe Burrow has played elite while he has been behind in football games. According to PFF, he has the best passer rating (119) when trailing in games in the whole league. It is hard to run the ball when Burrow is playing like that and you need points. However, the Bengals go up against the Raiders this week. Not only are the Raiders mid, they allow the most points to runningbacks out of any other position in fantasy, including quarterbacks. I expect the Bengals to have a positive game script and for Brown to dominate in a favorable matchup.
Wide Receiver - Romeo Doubs (vs. Lions)
Romeo Doubs has officially taken over Jayden Reed as the WR1 on the Packers offense. Ever since Doubs one game suspension, he has averaged almost 16 fantasy points per game and has had the largest target share out of any other offensive weapon on the Packers. This matchup against the Lions makes him hard to bench too. The Lions give up on average 24 points per game to receivers! Expect a shootout in this game, and Doubs being a big beneficiary.
Tight End - Cade Otton (vs. Chiefs)
After last matchup Cade Otton has certified himself as an elite TE in fantasy until Mike Evans returns from injury. Otton got a touchdown, plenty of targets, and was easily Mayfield's number one target on this offense. A must start on every team!
Why bro do my raiders like that 😭😭
