THANKSGIVING GAME PREVIEWS!

Writer's picture: Joe VolpeJoe Volpe

Ah yes, Thanksgiving. The holiday where we celebrate family, although I'm pretty sure it was a genocide of the Native Americans. The holiday where your Uncle Rob gets too drunk and you start wondering if he's actually your uncle. But most importantly, we get three football games on Thursday instead of one! So rather than forget about it, I've decided to write this short article before I become my family's Uncle Rob.

In all seriousness, I am very thankful for everyone's support and hitting 40k Followers on Instagram. I never thought I would get this far following a passion, but $500 later and here I am with my own website! Enjoy the article and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

GAME ONE: DET vs CHI (12:30 PM EST)

I'm not expecting this to be a blowout, but the Bears should be able to run away with this one. The Lions are starting an undrafted free agent QB David Blough as both Matt Stafford and Jeff Driskel recover. This hurts guys like Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay the most, making them both very risky starts. Bo Scarbrough has a tough matchup on the ground and after fumbling away last week I wouldn't trust him in my lineup..

On the other hand, Trubisky is coming off a season high 278 Passing Yards, and he actually had 3 Passing TDs in his last meeting with Detroit earlier this season. I would consider Trubisky at his $5,300 price on Draftkings, but nothing more. David Montgomery has been unstartable even with his 15+ Touches over the last 5 Weeks. Although a positive game script could help turn the tide. Cohen has been more consitent thanks to his involvement in the passing game, but with Anthony Miller getting going and liekly playing from ahead I would caution starting Cohen. Allen Robinson is someone I want in my lineups, now healthy he's been balling this season. Anthony Miller also has 6 catches in his last two weeks and is a lot cheaper in DFS. On top of that, the Bears D/ST makes a return this week as a great starting option.

GAME TWO: DAL vs BUF (4:30 PM EST)

This one is interesting because Dallas has struggled mightily against teams over .500, but Dak also has a lot more success at home. I'm ok with Dak in your lineup if you don't have another great option, but Zeke is a great option as always. I've gotten the most questions about Amari Cooper after his goose egg against the Patriots. Tre White has been good, but I'm still throwing Cooper into my starting lineup at home. Guys like Michael Gallup and even Randall Cobb are decent FLEX options, while I'm not even looking at Jason Witten or Blake Jarwin..

On the Buffalo side, Allen has been relatively consistent so far. But on the road in Dallas on the big stage isn't a good sign. If you don't have another option don't sweat it, Allen really just needs a Rushing TD to give you a decent week. Guys like John Brown and Devin Singletary are start-able given the volume they have both gotten. Even Cole Beasley might want to stick to his old team as well. But other than that, Frank Gore isn't seeing enough volume to merit even FLEX consideration.

GAME THREE: ATL vs NO (8:20 PM EST)

Atlanta was seemingly on a hot streak until they ran into Jameis Winston and the Bucs (go figure). In a rematch against the Saints at home they are still without Austin Hooper. As for Matt Ryan, he failed to put up over 200 Yards in their last meeting with the Saints, and he couldn't throw a TD against the worst pass defense in the league. Ryan will not see my starting lineups, but oddly enough Calvin Ridley and Julio will. Ridley I'm somewhat nervous about, Matt Schaub is the one who got him the TD last week but Ridley was still targeted 14 Times. Devonta Freeman is back (who cares), but he will remain on the bench. Is he fully healthy? Will he split the workload against a good run defense with Brian Hill or lose a TD run to Qadree Ollison. I'll take the over on both. Yunghoe Koo has been the most consitent part of this offense other than Julio..

New Orleans you never know what to expect. Drew Brees can totally flop, or throw 4 Passing TDs to four players we have never heard of. I do think it will be a good game for Brees. Meaning Thomas keeps up his record-breaking pace, and Jared Cook remains a TE1. Alvin Kamara stays afloat barely as a RB1 while Latavius Murray gets FLEX consideration. Anything outside of those main guys is a toss up, I wouldn't bet on Tre'Quan Smith having the same success..

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and best of luck getting into the Fantasy Football Playoffs!
